An abbreviated summary was to be my entry in the Bow Wow 100 Daily Telegraph Competition. They were flooded with entries, which resulted in them shutting down the competition. Sadly, Harry did not make it in!
Harry, my 10 year old Cavalier, is named after Prince Harry and Harold, my long standing free spirit of almost 36 years, who passed away in September 2011. Harry has been my loyal and loving companion since October 2012.
Initially, Harry had Raine and Marietta for company. Raine passed away in March 2013, and Marietta in February 2014. Lizzie and James joined Harry in 2014. They passed away in September 2018.
Harry loves a pat and a cuddle, and enjoys receiving pats from people he meets on his walks.
He is a good looking dog, an elegant walker, and has a wonderful temperament. He is a very special dog, and is much loved by everyone who meets him. If you have his seal of approval, he vigorously wags his tail at you!
Harry enjoys his dog bed; more importantly he enjoys his nights sleeping on a lovely cotton quilt on my bed. He loves ruffling up his covers in his doggy bed ……….
He is known on occasions to snore. I undertook the typing of my Moorefield Racecourse Kogarah (1888-1951) book during 2015-2016 to the sometimes gentle sounds of snoring from Harry, Lizzie and James.
Harry was a rescue dog to whom I have given a new life. I am privileged to have such a wonderful animal as my companion.
