My late mother, Mrs Elizabeth Field, was an excellent knitter. Enclosed are a sample of her knitting books which may date from possibly the early 1940’s. Old style knitting patterns are now becoming popular.
I am photographed wearing a Fair Isle cardigan, which my mother made in the early 1980’s. From memory, I believe I bought the wool in either Dunedin or Christchurch, New Zealand 1980.
