The Moorefield Racecourse DVD was officially launched in late April 2019. Bob Hallett, a video producer and I spent many hours of our time in making this DVD to commemorate our local racing history. Georges River Council, Sydney assisted us with a grant towards its production. The two hour DVD has an introduction and 9 interviews, of which 8 interview subjects had a Moorefield Racecourse connection.
Copies of the 2 Hour DVD are available for loan from Georges River Council Libraries Sydney and a copy is held at Bayside Council Library in Rockdale Sydney. A copy is available to view at the State Library in Macquarie Street Sydney and also Racing NSW.
The YouTube version of the DVD has been separated into 4 parts with the introduction, and 3 of the 9 original interviews from the 2 hour DVD. Anne interviews Dawn Coutts – former track work rider and later a horse trainer, Russell Town – former resident and Cliff Clare – former jockey.
Moorefield material is posted in a Moorefield category on annefield.net.au, and some material is posted on annefieldauthor.com. A Facebook site, titled Moorefield Racecourse Kogarah, is also in operation.
Copies of my book are available for $30 each from me or at the Rockdale Plaza Newsagency, Rockdale Sydney.
