I was invited by the Principal Mr Marciniak to sell my Moorefield Racecourse books in the Library.
Barry approached me to buy a book, and to tell me that “he had watched me down through the years in the local newspaper.”
He asked me when I first appeared in the local newspaper. I said possibly 1984. It fact it was December 6, 1984 “Bexley is the Key to Penfriend Hobby “ was the title of the publication . Oh, he said, “you will appear again in the St George Leader. “
I have featured many times since 1984…… I have featured in articles , been quoted many times from Council debate ; been quoted on community issues; and written articles, on occasions. Many photographs have appeared over the past 30 years. I do have a few favourites amongst these photos.
Some people, over the years, have said to me “we do not need to ring you to find out what you are doing .We instead read the Leader newspaper!”
